The 'oh so pretty' wedding of Stephanie & Lee

Stephanie and Lee’s wedding will always hold a very special place in our hearts...... not only was it the perfect mix of elegant tradition and relaxed garden charm, but it was also the day that full size weddings and dancing returned to Deene Park! This wedding certainly shook off the lockdown blues and brought with it a beautiful day full of reunited families and the dreamiest summer wedding reception by the lake! Let the partying return.......

The Setting:

The couple chose a Sail Cloth tent for their venue which gave them the perfect elegant yet relaxed vibe they were aiming for. Flooded with light through the 360 degree clear/open sides, this tent soaked up the dreamy lakeside views in all directions and allowed the atmosphere to spill out on the lawns without separation. Beautiful in its simplicity, this ‘oh so pretty’ wedding was all about the details..... Huge white floral arrangements hung impressively from the tent’s high poles and mirrored the beautiful simple centre pieces and floral moon gate while touches of gold and baby blue brought their theme together seamlessly.

The Reception

Guests made their impressive arrival to Deene Park in a vintage red double decker - (seriously is there a cooler way to transport your guests from the church?) before making their way across the stone bridge to Lakeside.

Fizz and delicious canapes were served on the lawns before enjoying a sumptuous feast served in the tent by the superb Beetroot Catering! The speeches (as always) played a big part in this wedding with the perfect mix of tears and laughter - but we must salute our beautiful bride at this point, whose twist on tradition speech totally stole the show.

The Party:

The evening began with a selection of cocktails served on the lawns in the glorious golden hour light as evening guests joined the party. The rustic bar, vintage Chesterfields and separate naked tipi (complete with blankets and cushions our pallet furniture) allowed guests to enjoy the evenings ‘chill out ‘vibes in-between rounds of croquet.

As the sun began to drop, the tent truly came to life both inside and out with its highly strung festoon lighting and big party atmosphere...... and then came the dancing! The lovely couple surprised their guests with a romantic wedding Waltz which was performed beautifully after weeks of rehearsals! (and even a sneaky extra rehearsal in the courtyard – see pic) AND THEN..... the dance floor was open! For the first time in 18 months friends and family were able to dance together with no rules or restrictions and dance they did – non stop until midnight. What a night!!!
