Like so many couples, Kerry & Peter had to postpone their wedding day plans (twice!) before finally being able to go for it in October 2021 restriction free! So without wanting to dwell on the stress that the pandemic caused them ..... Sit back, relax and drink in the exceptionally epic wedding of Kerry & Peter!
The Setting:
The couple had chosen Deene Park’s beautiful Lakeside setting to host their wedding reception, offering them the freedom of choosing their own dream structure – and a dream they chose! The build started 4 days before the big day when Abbas Marquees arrived on the Estate to build the jaw-dropping Cruck Tent. With a design resembling a medieval feasting barn, the Cruck Tent is a one-of-a-kind, solid timber tent structure; add to this the incredible hanging lighting, solid rustic feasting tables, cross back chairs & separate chill out tent – together forming the perfect outdoor wedding venue!
The wedding party & guests arrived at the gates of the Deene Park Estate in two vintage red Routemaster buses following their ceremony just down the road at St Marys church in Weldon, Northamptonshire.
The Reception:
Yes it was October, but the weather was kind and guests enjoyed fizz served in crystal glassware and delicious canapés outside the Cruck Tent - giving the newlyweds a few minutes to sneak off for some photos in the beautiful grounds. The Cruck Tent décor was designed and set by the Bridal party the day before with touches of gold, ‘drink me’ favours and simple green foliage to mirror the epic foliage displays hanging above (Jack Hadden Florists).
The Party:
As the light faded outside, the Cruck Tent came alive with atmospheric lighting, spectacular bar service and incredible entertainment. This couple (and their guests) certainly know how to party and hiring entertainment with ‘extra’ was at the top of Kerry & Peters wish list ..... and they certainly achieved this! The Incredible DJ, live saxophonist plus live percussionist all kept the dancefloor buzzing from beginning to end.
